Slicker Brush for Goldendoodles, Poodles & Doodles

We bought this for our Bernedoodle, Lucy. If you’ve ever owned a doodle, you know their fur is somewhere between “adorable” and “industrial-strength Velcro.” I’ve tried a few slicker brushes before this one and most of them either skimmed the surface or filled up immediately and called it a day.

This brush actually gets through Lucy’s coat without turning brushing into a wrestling match. It pulls out loose hair and small tangles pretty easily, and Lucy seems fine with it—which is saying something because she normally treats grooming like a mild inconvenience inflicted by humans.

After a few uses I realized I’d stopped reaching for the other brushes we bought. They’re basically sitting in a drawer now as a reminder of past mistakes.

If you’ve got a doodle like Lucy and brushing usually feels like more work than it should be, this brush has been a solid upgrade for us.

We have a bernedoodle puppy that needs to be brushed everyday. She is used to the brush and doesn't mind getting combed with it. She is a non shedder, but you can still see hair stuck on the brush which means its getting deep enough to get all the hair. Easy to use and very stable for brushing.

Works as expected and my pups don't hate it.

This brush makes brushing my labradoodle a breeze. I love its wood construction and rust-free needles, as my dog is often wet. Its size and grip make the brush very comfortable to handle.

Excellent for a puffy standard poodle who resists grooming.

Coco like to chew on this thing when she can (see photos). But this brush does an excellent job on our miniature poodle's coat. Coco likes being brushed with it. Easy to clean by simply running Coco's comb through it. Despite Coco's chewing the brush is durable.

Sturdy brush, does not pull hair out. Bristol wires flex but don’t bend

This works great on my mini-Ausie-doodle. Her hair tends to get matted and this helps.
