Dematting Comb & Deshedding Tool for Cats & Dogs

I just got this and used it twice. So far so good. I was able to get a few mats out of my cats fur on her hind end and she actually purred thru her grooming. She doesnt do that with any of the other brushes I have. So im going to give this a neutral rating since I haven't had it long and update later.

This bush is AMAZING!! My Maine Coon has developed some significant matting in his old age. This brush helped me get out so much matting out and it was gentle. It’s super easy to use too. Highly recommend!!

This is awesome! My 17 year old cat with extremely long hair gets terribly matted. She is a feral cat who "shares" the house with us and is very jumpy. In her old age she does not groom well and her hair is a mess. I gradually got her used to this tool by using it very lightly. The first 3 days I used it I got a small waste basket full of hair - no kidding! I attacked the matts very slowly and they are now gone. Highly recommend but go slowly and lightly.

Works great. I have a ragdoll/Maine coon mix and it’s the only one that has worked on him.

This is a good quality departing comb for my cats. There are two different sizes to comb with. Easy to clean. Cats don’t mind it

This brush works incredibly well at thinning out the winter coat and removing mattes!Reviews that say the cat is in pain when removing mats are very likely trying to do it too quickly. The instructions are clear that it requires short strokes and may take several sittings. Use the side with fewer teeth, be gentle, and have patience! It's a great tool, not a magic wand defying the nature of hair.My only warning is that you may need to change clothes for/after a brushing session! Using it on my long-haired ragdoll coming out of winter looks like a cotton candy machine spitting out clouds of hair! And there's no mechanism on this brush for collecting the hair. It just flies. I recommend giving your cat a once-over with a bristled brush when you're done, to pick up the remaining loose bits.

I never expected to come here to gush about a cat brush, but this thing is amazing! My cat is 15 years old and arthritic, so she doesn’t self groom like she used to. This has led to mats plaguing her fur and it’s been a challenge trying to get rid of them. So I found this brush in an Amazon search and holy hell, it plows right through the fur. A few swipes in and mats are loosened and removed. Very glad I purchased!
